Buyukcekmece is considered as one of the most important and modern areas of the European side of Istanbul. The district of Buyukcekmece is located on the coast of the Marmara Sea, on the western side of İstanbul, covering an area of 196 square kilometers. Buyukcekmece is surrounded by Catalca and Arnavutkoy districts on the north, the Esenyurt district on the east, the Beylikdüzü district and the Marmara Sea on the south, and Silivri district on the west.
Transportation in Buyukcekmece
Getting to the district is easy: highways TEM and D-100 pass through it, as well as many routes of the city land and sea transport. Events of Buyukcekmece
Every year in July, the Buyukcekmece district arranges one of the largest cultural and artistic events in there. The subjective themes that are present for this include arts, and culture that take place from the 01st to the 07th July every year. It is the third-largest extravaganza in the world with respect to the size and the number of participants and tourists. Over 35,000 people participate in this every year, and it is always a huge hit.
